Valve mengklaim dalam materi pemasaran dan postingan forum bahwa mereka menerapkan sistem penegakan aturan yang aktif untuk melindungi keamanan pengguna. Pada kenyataannya, korban pembobolan akun, penipuan pengalihan tautan (API), dan pengurasan stok otomatis justru berhadapan dengan sistem penolakan otomatis yang terstruktur—seperti mesin salin-tempel—yang menutup laporan tanpa penyelidikan sama sekali oleh pihak manusia.

Semua tangkapan layar merupakan hasil pengambilan dari pihak ketiga. Hak cipta dan konten tetap menjadi milik masing-masing penulis dan platformnya (pengguna Reddit, penulis Komunitas Steam, pengulas Trustpilot, X, dan pengunggah YouTube).
